WEEK 11
Understanding Tonality

An audio feedback to create round up the immersive experience

We chose chords commonly found in mainstream music, such as G, C, D, E minor, and F, distributing them across various octaves for increased diversity. With limited music theory knowledge, our aim was to create a conventional and harmonious auditory experience. We also ensured that the sound generation wasn't continuous to prevent overloading and crashes. Instead, each sound triggered after each set of chords based on detected emotions, resulting in a seamless rhythm.

To enhance immersion, we aimed to craft an ambient soundscape using two approaches:

A - We varied the pitch levels for a single synthesizer.

B - We experimented with different sets of piano chords.

Testers favored the use of piano chords, finding the constant pitch changes distracting. Nevertheless, their feedback emphasized the need for more distinct chords. Consequently, we refined our adjustments, introducing greater octave variations to enhance reactivity
